Living with 290: AB109 – Rehabilitation or Family Destruction?

Husband AB109er! In full compliance for 9 months. Allowed to live at home with wife and kids after 3 months on the streets. They say he’s not an SO he’s an alcoholic. Clean and Sober 9 months out, never missed an appointment, graduating from treatment. Gainfully employed – even though I lost my job.

Asleep upstairs 2 hours. Friends drives by to pick/up halloween costumes for her kids. She literally walks thru the house and the kids are standing in the door way while we are outside. Probation comes thru 9 officer deep all dressed in SWAT yelling his name in our very quiet complex, where my landlord is already fed up with the police contact at our house. They arrest him on a 10 day flash for her kids being in the door way.

He stands to lose his job, which is all we have and we stand to lose our housing now. Where is his support to now reoffend to drink? It’s like they are slowing trying to destroy our family. We are so screwed if he loses his job. We will have nothing.

Well anyone who has read this and is concerned I wanted to provide you with an update. Yes we were asked to leave our rental home 30 days before Christmas with 4 kids. My husband was able to keep his job but keeps missing out on money due to his POs demand of him missing work to come check in with him. In addition to all of this our car was repossesed the day before Thankgiving because we were short a car payment due to having to get the money together to move. It also had all of our groceries in it which went bad and we had no food for about two weeks. The hits just keep coming but we have vowed to not let this stupid case; probation or public opinion break us! We will keep going and fight the good fight. We owe it to our kids to show them you have to rise above adversity and be better then others! We are an amazing family and together we are strong and no one can take that away from us!
